Announced July 30, Relation will generate large-scale human cellular perturbation datasets to train foundation models including MORGAN (Multi-Omic Regulatory Genomics using Artificial Neural Networks), with GSK paying up to $110 million in upfront and milestone payments. The deal treats biological data generation itself as the bottleneck to better AI models of the cell, building on an earlier GSK-Relation partnership in fibrotic disease and osteoarthritis.

Announced July 20, Tempus will acquire all outstanding shares of Personalis it doesn't already own at $16.25 per share, a total enterprise value of roughly $1.5 billion net of Tempus's existing stake, to more tightly integrate Personalis's NeXT Personal molecular residual disease (MRD) test into its AI-enabled oncology platform. The deal targets a U.S. MRD market Tempus estimates at over $20 billion, building on a commercial partnership the two companies established in 2023.

2 | CellCarta launches Global Digital Pathology and AI Consortium to accelerate biomarker innovation | New Product

Announced July 15, the CRO's new Consortium brings together seven AI-pathology vendors — Lunit, Mindpeak, Imagene AI, Dipath AI, Nucleai, Tivenix, and Indica Labs — into a single AI-agnostic ecosystem for biopharma sponsors evaluating digital pathology, image analysis, and companion diagnostics across oncology, autoimmune, and neurodegenerative disease programs. The model is designed to spare sponsors from committing to a single AI vendor while still getting CRO-led execution support for biomarker discovery and patient stratification.

Cleared July 25, the CT-based triage software brings 14 acute-condition indications into a single workflow, letting health systems consolidate multiple point solutions into one comprehensive tool. WellSpan Health's chief medical officer of diagnostics called the consolidation a fundamental shift in how radiology departments manage workflow and time-to-diagnosis.
